Trauma is an avalanche.
When trauma hits, it’s loud, heavy, cold and before you know it you’re buried alive and in the depths of darkness.
Healing from trauma is like trying to dig out of that avalanche because in order to heal, you have to feel.
Here’s the thing about feeling… it isn’t complicated, but it takes courage to go through. People tend to overthink feeling. Feeling is allowing your body’s trauma responses to experience what the nervous system’s reactions are to the emotional pain you are going through.
You MUST feel to heal. Feel that cold. Feel that heavy weight. Feel that loud chaos. Stop staying buried alive. You survived the trauma, so start digging towards the light and heal.
